   Internationally known Bass-Baritone Wayne Tigges has established himself as one of the premiere singers of his generation. He has performed in over 70 roles in many of the major opera houses of the world including, The Metropolitan Opera (Achilla in Giulio Cesare), The Lyric Opera of Chicago (Title role in Le Nozze di Figaro,  Capulet in Romeo and Juliet, Basilio in The Barber of Seville, Bonz in Madame Butterfly, Achilla in Giulio Cesare, Sam in Un ballo in Maschera, Angelotti in Tosca,  Snooks Brenner in A Wedding, Kingfisher in Midsummer Marriage(Cover), and most recently in the 2019/20 Season as Owen Hart in Dead Man Walking),  LA Opera (Zuniga in Carmen, Donner in Das Rheingold, Bonz in Madame Butterfly, and the four villains in The Tales of Hoffman in the 2018 Season), San Francisco Opera (Zuniga in Carmen, Ariodante in Xerxes, Sam in A Heart of a Soldier, Judge Turpin in Sweeney Todd, Joe St. George in Dolores Claiborne, Thoas(Cover) in Iphigenie en Tauride, the dutchman(Cover) in The Flying Dutchman, and in the 2019/20 season as Mr Flint in the triumphant production of Billy Budd), Washington National Opera (Howie Albert in Champion, and Owen Hart in Deadman Walking 2018) , Atlanta Opera (2018 Title role in The Flying Dutchman, and 2019 as Owen Hart in Dead Man Walking) , Santa Fe Opera (Basilio in The Barber of Seville, Four villains in The Tales Of Hoffman, Nourabad in The Pearl Fishers, Barone in La Traviata, Hercules in Alceste, and Douglas in La donna del Lago), Michigan Opera Theater (Basilio in The Barber of Seville, Howie Albert in Champion 2020) Utah Opera (Title role of Gianni Schicchi in Gianni Schicchi, and Tonio in Pagliacci 2018/19 season), Arizona Opera (John the Baptist in Salome) ,Des Moines Metro Opera (Owen Hart in Dead Man Walking,the title role in Falstaff and Judge Turpin in Sweeney Todd 2020) ,Palm Beach Opera (Basilio in The Barber of Seville, and 2019 as Frank in Die Fledermaus),  Opera Santa Barbera(2019/20 season as John Proctor in The Crucible), Cincinnati Opera (Angelotti in Tosca, the doctor in Pelleas et Melisande, and Sam in Un Ballo in Maschera), San Diego Opera.(Escamillo in Carmen), Austin Opera (Title role in Le Nozze di Figaro, Title role in Don Giovanni, Scarpia in Tosca, and the title role in The Flying Dutchman), Virginia Opera (Title role in The Flying Dutchman), Tulsa Opera (Leporello in Don Giovanni, and Ping in Turandot), 


Outside of the United States, Mr. Tigges has performed at Glyndebourne (Escamillo in Carmen), Opera del Liceu (Sacerdote in Nabucco), Paris Opera (Kolonaty in Mekropolus Case), Toulouse (Superintendent Budd in Albert Herring), Santiago (Nick Shadow in The Rakes Progress), Saiito Kinen Festival (Falstaff(cover), Onjuku Festival Japan (Title role in Le nozze di Figaro), the Macau Festival (Mephistopheles in Faust),  and Brisbane Baroque (Gustavo in Faramondo), among others.  Mr. Tigges is equally at home with symphonic pieces, singing with the great orchestras of the world including: The Los Angeles Philharmonic (Mozart Mass in c-minor), Cleveland Orchestra (Stravinsky Les Noces and Le Rossignol) , London Philharmonic (Beethoven's Ninth),  Orchestra of St. Luke's (Carnegie Hall debut in Beethoven's Ninth), the Chicago Symphony (Nielson Symphony #3), Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (Psalm #83) The American Symphony Orchestra (Verdi's Requiem), Washington Chorus (Verdi's Requiem), the Collegiate Chorale (Avery Fisher Hall debut as Erastro in Giove in Argos) The Apollo Chorus and Orchestra (Title role in Elijah) , The Orchestra of St Luke's (Beethovens Ninth), Solo Deo Gloria (Elijah), Tulsa Oratorio Chorus (Verdi Requiem), Arizona Music Festival (Verdi Requiem), Cathedral Choral Society in Washington DC (Verdi Requiem), Teatro Regio di Parma (Haydn's Creation), and Knox Chamber Orchestra (St. John and ST. Matthews Passion) among many others. 


 His list of collaborations with conductors include Seiji Ozawa, Sir Roger Norrington, Sir Andrew Davis, Sir Mark Elder, Christoph Eschenbach, Harry Bicket, Emmanuel Villaume,  Emmanuelle Haim, Christoph Dohnanyi, Alan Gilbert, Yannick Nezet Seguin, Esa-Pekka Salonon, Pierre Boulez, Nello Santi, and a large list of other distinguished maestros. Mr. Tigges has had the privilege to being involved in eight different world premieres including Dolores Claiborne(San Francisco Opera), A Wedding (Lyric Opera of Chicago), A Heart of a Soldier (San Francisco Opera),  and American Soldier (Opera Theater St. Louis).
